Grodno (1947-2010: Jaromin; (ドイツ語:Jordansee))〔Rozporządzenie Ministrów: Administracji Publicznej i Ziem Odzyskanych z dnia 1 lipca 1947〕〔''Topografische Karten (Meßtischblätter) 1:25 000''. Das Reichsamt für Landesaufnahme, 1929.〕 is a coastal place on the island of Wolin, in the administrative district of Gmina Międzyzdroje, within Kamień County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Central Statistical Office (GUS) - TERYT (National Register of Territorial Land Apportionment Journal) )〕 It lies approximately north-east of Międzyzdroje, west of Kamień Pomorski, and north of the regional capital Szczecin. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania. There are two vacation centres at Grodno, ''Grodno I'' (formerly a vacation centre for the Polish government, given to the Wolin National Park on 10 February 2009), and ''Grodno II'', a vacation centre within the National Park with its own beach. To the south-east of Grodno is Gardno Lake. ==References==
